When I opened a beer one afternoon my wife said “Hey, it’s not 5:00pm yet,
what are you doing?” To which I replied, “I don’t have to wait until 5:00pm,
the trading bell already rang, my day is over!”
So after thinking about using “it’s 4:00 somewhere for eastern time zone, I
Realized there was Central time and Pacific time as well for when the bell
Rings to close the trading day. So rather than using a specific time of day,
I used “it’s Closing Bell Somewhere” playing off of the popular Jimmy Buffet
song …. And the rest is history!
